Our agenda is:

2:00pm-8:00pm Public Celebration
8:00pm-10:00pm VIP After party Celebration
Originally inspired by the women of the U.S., German Socialist Lusie Zietz proposed an establishment of an annual event and, with the seconded support of communist Clara Zetkin, International Women’s Day was born. We will be celebrating IWD 100 years to the date from its original declaration by agreement on March 8th 1913 in Denmark as part of the WWI Peace campaigns. Countries around the globe have been honoring their Mothers, Daughters and Women of their cities by surrounding them with attention and love, giving flowers, candy, and other gifts. Due to its timing, this day has always been associated with the Beginning of Spring and celebration of new beginnings. The United Nations - a strong supporter of the International Women’s Day - focuses their emphasis on political and human rights themed events for social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide for equality and expression of hope and empowerment for all.
Join us Friday March 8th in downtown Columbus, Ohio at The McKoy Center for a fun, educational, pampered filled day where women celebrate being a woman and each other. Consider this your Mother’s day and Valentine’s Day celebration in one as we offer vendors in fashion, art, community action, family resources, food and more. This is part of a local campaign to support women of the community and a call to action for other cities nationally to stand up and claim their divine femininity and enjoy this special day with the hopes of gaining congressional attention to declare International Women’s Day a nationally recognized holiday.
